Impact of Management Strategy for Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities on Management Performance

Abstract
This study aims to explore how the Occupational Rehabilitation Facilities¡¯ management strategies contribute to the business performance level, seeking for efficient results.
The study was conducted on the Chief and intermediary managers of the 478 vocational rehabilitation facilities registered in Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities Association of Korea, which were later analyzed using SPSS 18.0 for statistical processing.
The study showed following two result: Total of three types business strategies exists, and those are defensive strategies, analysis-type strategy, offensive strategy. The management strategy appeared to be more effective on working workplaces rather than on sheltered workshops. Secondly, the management strategies of rehabilitation facilities seemed to have more impact on non-financial performance when compared to its impact on financial performance.
Based on these findings, having managemental behavior, and the usage of strategic offensive and strategic analysis type, such as human resources management expertise, is proposed to utilize the vocational rehabilitation facilities.
